Late Fee Policy As of January 1, 2011, after a registration for travel sport has been completed and a child's signed up to play a sport which is offering an option to offset the cost of registration, the option will not be offered. Also a $15 late fee will be applied to any child who is on an existing roster and signs up after a registration is completed. If a child's team no longer exists from a previous season and registers late with another team in the club, the $15 late fee will be waived for up to 30 days of completed registration.

The following rules for Hetzels and Shissler fields must be observed by all team members, parents, and fans:

Many of you have been around these fields for most of your life and you know what they were in the past PLEASE work with us ton KEEPING them in great shape.

Newsletter

This newsletter mailing is the last for 2011. We will have a mailing January 2012, but that could be the last one. All Club info will be posted on our website.

Urgent News for All Travel Teams

We must have all medical insurance information and birth certificates of all the children (Travel and Inhouse) currently playing sports in the club before Sunday 12/18. Beginning 1/1/2012, if we don't have this information on hand, a child will not be able to participate until we do (sorry). If you haven't filled a medical release form out for the club, stop by and do so! We will also have these forms available at all registrations. We also need many volunteers to help record and file this information beginning ASAP. Please let us know if you can help out 3-5 hours a week for a month or so to get this information organized.

Baseball/Softball Registration

Travel Baseball and Softball registration for the 2012 season will take place earlier than usual. We are looking at beginning sign ups on Friday 1/6. More information will be posted by Thanksgiving.

Baseball/Softball Uniform Return

The club has had a very poor showing for Baseball and Softball uniform return (2011). We still have about 125 people out of 218 that have not returned uniforms. These are the things that help raise registrations costs. Girls return shorts and vest, boys return pants and belt!

Volunteer Program

The growth of the club and its demands for more programs and clinics is beginning to take a toll on the very few volunteers we have! Our volunteer program must grow and when people are asked to help please show up as scheduled. The need for volunteers is critical now, ask what you can do to help out!

Late Fee Policy

Please refer to this policy when we are holding registrations for all travel sports. A late fee may be as low as $5 or as much as $25.

Travel Sports Banquet

We are going to try to bring back our Awards Night as soon as this year. If we are able to, it will be restructured and posted on our website. We cannot promise anything at the moment but we are working hard to get this events up and running again.

Inhouse Program Notes

We began our new age group breakdown with Tee Ball. This is working out well. The Club is still thinking about different ideas on how to improve all programs and offer more for children 8 and under. An urgent reminder to all with children in or House Programs, we need to have a copy of your child's birth certificate and health insurance info on file. Before 2011 ends all children playing at Fishtown A C must have a health insurance form filled out. Please take time to stop by and give us this info. Visit our website for more info and updates. We would like to thank all who are involved with any inhouse program, you are a big help.

Club Fundraising Update

2011 and 2012 will be crucial years to raise funds for the Club. We are reaching a point that may force us to charge $100 or more for travel sports. This is a number we have feared over the last 2-3 years. It's an amount we do not want to see on any budget form. We need to raise funds as soon as possible so we can keep registration costs down. Sponsors have fallen off over the last 18 months. Opening Days are only bringing half of what they used to. We have a promotional staff that has made mailings to local and Philadelphia companies only to get slightly over $2,000 donated to us in the last 12 months. They are working hard to get grants and out of state funding. We have a number that we must try and reach so we can expand and do much better things with our funds. A small staff is being formed to get our fundraising started. If you know anyone who wants to sponsor, please have them call the Club at 215-423-1659,

Shissler Field Update

The Club will begin to use the field when outdoor soccer starts up in September. We are looking to hold an opening weekend of soccer, baseball, and softball on August 26, 27, and 28 to kick off a new era of sports at Shissler. Please visit our website in June for more updates on this weekend.
